Exciting times, Anke, Joelle, Lijuan, Ruben and Karla joined the lab beginning of this month.

Anke is a postdoc and she works on the circadian rhythm in Daphnia together with Alex Wacker from Postdam and Dominik Martin-Creuzburg from here. Joelle is our first Bachelor student here in Konstanz and she works with Eva on the evolution of virus traits. Lijuan is a visiting student from China, where she works with our colleague and friend Weini Huang. Lijuan received a scholarship from the DAAD to visit our lab. Ruben followed us from Ploen to Konstanz and he's a PhD student on a project focusing on the the role of trait variation for buffering environmental disturbances. This is a project where we collaborate with Ursula Gaedke, Elias Ehrlich from Potsdam, Masato Yamamichi from Tokyo and Michael Cortez from Utha (and we are looking for another PhD student to join us). Finally, we welcome Karla, a MSc student in Engineering from the Hochschule Konstanz who helps us out in the lab.
